Yours Mindfully

January 7, 2014

Mindfulness is not about getting somewhere in your mind, it is about harnessing the power of the present moment.  There are many ways in which you can harness your internal resources to bring out that state of mind and the best in you. Afterall the quality of our life depends on the state of our mind, right?

You have read the news to stay updated, done sports to stay fit, listened to music to change moods and had a drink with friends to feel connected, what do you do to sustain a positive state of mind? Many of us go about our daily chores and life’s pursuits without stopping to recharge our mental batteries.

As a part of my involvement with the International Association for Human Values (www.IAHV.org), both as a corporate trainer and a student, I invite you to try a open minded(and ended) adventure in mental and emotional fitness. The outline of the one hour Recharge! program for the modern, multi tasking super-duper professional is

  • A Warm Up/Desktop Yoga
  • Three breathing techniques to detox your mind
  • Followed by a 20 minute guided meditation

These 60 minutes are a goodwill gesture for my network of professionals. It will give you a flavour of what you can achieve with your breath and mind.

The purpose of the program is the same as that of the IAHV’s: to reduce stress and develop leaders so that human values can flourish in people and communities. Recharge is a first step program to enhance clarity of mind, shift attitudes and behaviors, and develop leaders who wish to harness and thrive in multicultural wokring groups. Do drop me a line with questions you may have.

wishing you the best, UM

I invite you for an open minded experiment and adventure in mental and emotional fitness.
